Please read this disclaimer carefully before using Snap Loans Cash. It explains what our service is, what it is not, and the South Carolina rules that apply to payday loans for Summerville borrowers.

We are a connection service, not a lender

Snap Loans Cash does not lend money, make credit decisions, or charge you any fee. We are a loan-connection service that may match your request with third-party lenders licensed to operate in South Carolina. Any loan you receive comes from an independent lender, on that lender’s terms, which you should read in full before you accept.

South Carolina payday loan rules

Payday loans (called “deferred presentment” transactions) are legal in South Carolina under the Deferred Presentment Services Act (S.C. Code Ann. § 34-39-110 et seq.). Under that law:

  • A loan may not exceed $550.
  • The fee may not exceed 15% of the amount advanced — about $82.50 on a $550 loan.
  • The term may not exceed 31 days.
  • Rollovers are prohibited — you cannot pay off one payday loan with another.
  • You may have only one payday loan outstanding at a time, checked against a statewide database before a lender may lend to you.
  • You may request an extended payment plan once every 12 months — four equal installments, with no additional finance charges.

Cost example

A $550 payday loan for about 14 days at the 15% cap costs roughly $82.50 in fees — about a 391% APR. Payday loans are short-term, higher-cost credit and are not intended for long-term financial needs. Please consider lower-cost alternatives first, and remember you can request an extended payment plan once a year if you cannot repay on time.

Regulator and complaints

South Carolina payday lenders are licensed and regulated by the South Carolina State Board of Financial Institutions (Consumer Finance Division). Rules on this page were verified on July 15, 2026 and may change; always confirm current terms with your lender and the regulator.
